Holistic Heaven - Bringing a little bit of heaven closer to earth.....
Treatments

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the systematic use of essential oils in holistic
treatments to improve physical well being. Essential oils are extracted
from plants and their properties will be used to help bring about a
feeling of health and wellbeing. Aromatherapy can help with many
conditions including lack of sleep, infertility, stress and chronic
conditions such as Asthma.

During an Aromatherapy session, the therapist will ask you questions
about your medical history, general health and lifestyle and any medical
conditions you currently suffer from. You will then receive either a
full body massage, or a back neck and shoulder massage using the
essential oils to bring about a feeling of relaxation - so drift away
and enjoy!

Hopi Ear Candles

This treatment is also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy and is used to
treat many conditions of the ear, nose and throat area.

The candles work be producing a chimney effect and sending vibrations to
the ear drum which will then help to draw out impurities and can help
with ear wax, sinusitis or even if you are due to fly! The therapist
will initially undertake a consultation to go through your current
medical history to ensure there is no reason why the treatment may not
go ahead such as a perforated ear drum.

The client then lies on their side and the candle is gently inserted
with a burning time of around 10-15 minutes for each candle. A facial
massage will then follow to help to drain out the toxins.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapy in which the nerve endings in the feet
(although it can be performed on the hands or the ears although these parts of the body are not as sensitive as the feet) are stimulated to correspond with the body's organs and therefore helps to bring about a healing process within the body.

The client only has to remove their socks and shoes and sit in a
comfortable chair with their legs slightly raised. The therapist will
then commence the treatment with a foot massage and then will begin the
Reflexology routine. Throughout the treatment the client may well feel
some sensitivity when specific areas of the foot are pressed by the
therapist. This will be discussed at the end when the therapist will
also run through any areas of sensitivity they pick up on. Aromatherapy
oils can also be used in the treatment to further enhance the overall
effect.

and angina.

Reiki

Reiki works on the spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing of an
individual as well as the energy systems of the body. Where there could
be blocked energy, Reiki will help to release this to help bring about
the body's natural healing process.

Reiki is also known as a Universal Life Energy and when a person
receives Reiki they can be healed on many levels including emotional and
spiritual. Sometimes it is hard for us to think clearly in thisfast-paced world - Reiki will help you to unblock the channels ofblocked energy and give you clearer thinking.
The benefit of Reiki is that the client remains fully clothed throughout
the session. They will lie on a couch and the therapist will placetheir hands over different meridian points throughout the body and will
remain there for a few minutes. All therapists will have been attuned to give Reiki.

Swedish Massage

Massage is the oldest form of physical medicine. Massage can bedescribed as the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. Massage works through the various body systems in that it responds to touch and will bring about a healing process. Massage can either be a fully body massage or limited to certain areas such as a back massage, hand and arm or leg and foot massage. People can also administer self massage.   The therapist will take a detailed consultation and will determine what the client wishes to achieve from their massage. If they are after a more relaxing massage, then the therapist would recommend an aromatherapy massage which is more long sweeping strokes, but if the client prefers a massage to help with specific aches, then a Swedish Massage would be the better choice as it includes stimulating movements such as petrissage which is a kneading movement to the skin. Clients would have their modesty protected at all times by the therapist.
